Because of its high melting point, periphery wax can be processed excellently with impressions made of hydrocolloids, rubber/silicone compounds, zinc oxide eugenol pastes and alginates. It can be used in the impression tray both as a limit for damming and as a support for the marginal edge.
Periphery wax is soft, sticky and easy to shape at room temperature. The result: more accurate impression and a minimal displacement of soft tissues.
