Minimally Invasive Dentistry and Bioactive Restoratives: Perfect Together

Dr. Howard Glazer’s program is designed to define the process of moving from “reparative” dentistry to restorative dentistry—both in mindset and materials. Case studies will be used to illustrate the steps of diagnosis, preparation, and final polish by looking at the tools and materials available to accomplish an ideal restoration. In particular, Dr. Glazer will acquaint the audience with the connection of minimally invasive dentistry and biomimicry/bioactivity in dental materials. He will look at how and when they should be used in the treatment of tooth decay as well as in other aspects of dental treatment.

1) Participants will learn what materials and equipment to use for minimally invasive procedures that will preserve tooth structure.
2) Participants will understand what a “bioactive material” means and why we should use such products.
3) Through case studies, participants will learn which bioactive materials can be used in specific clinical situations.

This is a program about real dentistry, by a real dentist, treating real patients! Techniques will be discussed so that the participant can readily and easily incorporate the materials into their restorative protocols. By doing so, optimal health for the tooth can be achieved while maintaining form and function.
